FIABVB PHILOSPHY The International Federation of Beach Volleyball and Volleyball Associations is a non governmental and a non profit organization whose members are Associations and sport personalities who have decide d in a total freedom to adhere in order to defend the Volleyball ethical principles, to have them respected, to manage and govern the discipline at the national and international levels within any of her events (Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Park Volley) making no discrimination between individuals in terms of racial, political and religion involvement. FIABVB shows solidarity for the organized Volleyball We do not wish the institution in charge until today of the Volleyball at the world level to disappear. We want her leaders to abandon their positions which they have since more than 20 years and consequently to implement investigations on their very severe denounced financial irregularities. FIABVB born to support sport Concretely, the FIABVB has already supported several African and Oceania National Federations with sport material and equipments. FIABVB respects the National Federations FIABVB respects the National Federations. However we propose and ask the National Federations, who will participate to the FIVB Congress in Tokyo, to require the total respect of the ethical principles of the Olympic Charter and to get rid of Acosta who has used sport to get rich. FIABVB supports the athletes We recommend the athletes to take profit as much as possible of the sport’s calendar in order to participate to the key competitions. We support their activities and respect the qualifications’ process. However, we want the immediate denunciation of those leaders who have used their sport skills to trade the sport competitions for their personal profit. In general, FIABVB condemns The FIVB President dictatorship which he has been exerting within Volleyball with the complicity of his wife and the Board of Administration members, his absence of transparency, his power abuse and all his measures to prevent absolutely the democracy and the expression freedom. Furthermore, we ask for huge changes, work without lucre purpose, the recognition of the Sport Arbitral Court in Lausanne (CAS), the immediate endorsement and respect by the FIVB of the Ethical Code, the Olympic Charter and the decision of 23 August 2004 of the International Olympic Committee which sanctioned the FIVB commissions system concerning the sponsorship and TV agreements as contrary to the Olympic fundamental principles. |
