LISTENING AND ACTING
Dear friends,
It is a pleasure to be able to write to you, here at the beginning of 2007,
to thank you for your ever increasing support and for the passion which you
have shown in standing up for volleyball and, at the same time, the
transparent and democratic manner in which we strive to reinvent the sport
at the WVBF!
Following the launch of our founding congress in Copenhagen, we are working
every day to unite all the necessary skills for the development of one of
the most beautiful sports in the world. The support from members is growing,
the competitions are being put in place with precision and enthusiasm and
key contracts with partners are being negotiated.
But, you will hear more about that in good time because at the WVBF, each
board of administration member, each commission president and each employee
has, and will have, a word to say, and above all, will be able to do so, in
public. An ethical, innovative and professional sporting movement will
emerge soon, through the communication, teamwork and the daily life of our
members, of which you can all be proud of.
In the immediate future, I will be organizing a long voyage to the southern
hemisphere, where we will meet all the impassioned volleyballers to forge
links of friendship, to listen to their problems, to outline solutions, and
finally, to make sure the solutions are materialized, together.
We will leave the hollow words to others. Make way for united action! Make
way for teamwork! Make way for beach and volleyball in the 21st century!
